July 8th 2010 is a date that will never be forgotten in the Cleveland Sports history. On National television Cleveland's home town star LeBron James stuck a dagger in the back of his hometown by announcing he was leaving the Cavs for Miami. While I'm on this subject I want to make one thing clear, LeBron is free to sign with whoever he wants that's not the issue. The issue is the fact he went on national TV with an hour long special to announce it in one of the most bizarre egotistical PR moves I've ever seen. Okay enough about LeBron. Your welcome Cleveland fans. On that night the Cavs immediately fell from championship contender to possible lottery winner. The Cavs will be lead by veteran and former All Star Antawn Jamison. Mo Williams is still running the point for new head coach Byron Scott. Anderson Varejao and JJ Hickson figure to lead the Cavs on the boards and guards Ramon Sessions and Bobbie Gibson give the Cavs depth at the point. Anthony Parker is expected to be the starting 2 guard. Jamario Moon will be the one with the task of taking LeBron's spot in the line up. Although the increased playing time should increase his production he won't come close to the production of James. You can't replace a once in a generation talent like LeBron James over night and it should be a long season in Cleveland. But don't jump into Lake Erie fans there will be better days ahead.
