NBA Training Camps Open This Week

With the most anticipated off season in NBA history in the books, the teams are now preparing for the 2010 season with the start of training camps this week. The biggest move of the offseason was the power shift down to South Beach when "King" James teamed up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to create a super team in Miami. While, we are on the subject of  LeBron, can we please stop calling him the King? What exactly has he done to be called the King? Winning 60 plus games two years in a row and failing to even make the finals in the much weaker Eastern Conference causes you to lose the title of King in my book.  You can't deny that he is one of the top players in the league but lets at least see him win a championship before we crown him King. Okay on to other story lines. The Lakers are looking for another 3 peat in what could be Phil Jackson's last season in his Hall of Fame coaching career. The Knicks hope the signing of Amare Stoudemire will lead them back to the playoffs and in turn back to relevancy. The Celtics are back for possibly one last run with the first big 3. In Denver Carmelo Anthony's future remains in flux with trade rumors coming out of the Mile High City everyday. The Bulls have quietly had one of the best off season's adding Carlos Boozer and a slew of other under rated players. In Indiana the Pacers are hoping the addition of Darren Collison will jump start the rebuilding effort.

In the next couple weeks I will be going team by team previewing the upcoming NBA Season.
